A fan of delis, funk music, the one-handed backhand and Tom Sturgis pretzels, Jason got his LA start pushing a mail-cart at United Talent Agency. He helped to launch and eventually lead UTA’s Online department where he was the first traditional Hollywood agent to identify and represent emerging talent on the web. He’s been described as “a wise mix of the sacred and the profane.”

Jon Zimelis


Before Serious Business, Jon was a TV Literary agent at The Gersh Agency and a digital media agent at UTA where he worked alongside Jason. He also spearheaded Serious Business’ early involvement in mobile entertainment startup Victorious. He once racked up 15 assists in a high school basketball game.
